Study at home - 22nd November
In this week’s service we’re looking at Matthew 25 verses 31 to 46, in which Jesus uses the illustration of the sheep and goats to warn us. We’ll see how we can be certain that we’ll have a glorious eternal life in God’s Kingdom. Here are some questions on this (also attached) for you to reflect on if you wish:
- Jesus tells that when we help someone, we’re helping him. Therefore, we need to see Jesus in everyone we meet. Do you find this easy or difficult and why?
- If you’re honest with yourself, are you like a sheep who obediently follows your shepherd, Jesus Christ; or are you more like a goat, and don’t always follow Jesus and instead go off to do your own thing?
- Do you ever worry that you’re not leading a good enough life to be counted as worthy of entering the Kingdom of God? If so, how do the passages John 5:24 and Romans 3 verses 22, 23 and 24 reassure you that eternal life is a free gift from God, available to absolutely everyone who puts their faith in Jesus?
- When you think about the life that you lead and the people that you help, do you think that it shows that you’re a Christian?
