Questions to reflect on

following the Service on 15th November 2020

Read the passages from the Bible that we used on Sunday:

  • Amos 5: 18 – 24
  • Matthew 25: 1 – 13

Then consider these questions:

  1. The prophet Amos proclaims God as a just and righteous God and criticises the Kingdom of Israel for the lack of justice and righteousness in its society.

Where do you see injustice and inequality

  • in our nation?
  • in the wider world?

  1. “Let justice roll down like waters, and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream.” What is God calling you to do to work for truth and justice, kindness and compassion, caring especially for the poor and the marginalized?

  1. What next steps can you take?
  • On your own?
  • With your church?
  • With the wider community?
